“Mark has been our cladding subcontractor for some recent projects both local and regional. Having personally worked with him closely on our South Hedland project from late 2017 into 2018, from the outset, I found Kustom Carpentry very thorough and professional.

With the added challenges of a regional project, we place a great deal of faith in his workmanship and were repaid in spades. Quality of work was first rate and experience invaluable.”

Karratha Red Earth Art Precinct

Location: Karratha, WA
Contractor: Doric

Architect: Peter Hunt Architects
Value: 1.5M

KUSTOM DELIVERABLES

The Red Earth Arts Precinct is a stunning community building in Karratha that brings arts and culture to the City of Karratha and the wider Pilbara community.

As façade subcontractor to Denmac Industries, we were responsible for delivering the highly visual façade of 5500m2 of Alucobond panels which creates a unique

statement for visitors entering the town of Karratha. This included the installation and construction of the façade incorporating the external cladding with the design

intent to create a building which will withstand a ‘one in a hundred year’ Category5 cyclone.

Whilst the location created logistical challenges that we had to overcome, the

design requirements were even more challenging. The complex interfaces

between the structure, roof and façade, coupled with the fact that works were

undertaken in a cyclone region, made this an extremely challenging project.
